Heart of Law Enforcement Recognition
The mission of Beyond the Badge is to educate the public about ordinary law enforcement officers performing extraordinary acts of kindness in their communities throughout Louisiana. BTB recognizes a select group of officers nominated by the public or agencies at its annual Heart of Law Enforcement Recognition Ceremony.

All proceeds from Beyond the Badge fundraisers go directly toward the Heart of Law Enforcement Recognition Program. BTB is 100% citizen-led utilizing only volunteers - no paid staff! Our offices are around kitchen tables and borrowed conference rooms so there is no overhead or administrative burden, Beyond the Badge, Inc. is registered with the IRS as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
